Pinkathon is India’s Biggest Women’s run created with the objective of spreading awareness about women’s health related issues, breast cancer in particular. Through the Pinkathon we encourage women to adopt health and fitness in their daily lifestyles by means of running.
It is a unique initiative which works with one simple underlying theme – empowered women will, by example, inspire and empower other women! It encourages women from all walks of life and all age groups and socio-economic background, who have probably never participated in a sporting event before, to take their first steps to a healthier life.

Pinkathon was started in 2012 in Mumbai, with the specific purpose of getting more and more women to adopt a fitter lifestyle for themselves and their families, and to highlight the need for increased awareness of breast cancer and of other issues that put women’s lives at risk.
Pinkathon has raised more than Rs 60 Lacs so far towards treatment of underprivileged women with cancer and has facilitated, through our partners, free breast screenings for thousands of women.
First International Pinkathon:
CURRENTLY CONDUCTED IN
Within India, the Pinkathon is conducted in all of the major metropolitan as well as certain tier II cities throughout the year.
The multi-city national event has received an overwhelming expression of support with over 60,000 women of all ages, across different walks of life from 7 cities in 2016. The campaign will be supported with an integrated communication plan which includes several pre- event activities like training runs for baby wearing mothers, first time women runners and cancer survivors. There will also be an extensive online campaign to reach out to the masses and help the movement grow.”
The Pinkathon is more than a Marathon. It is the seed of change. It is the beginning of a movement carried forward by a growing community of empowered women across India, who share a belief that a healthy family, a healthy nation and a healthy world begins with empowered women. The first step in empowerment is taking control of your own health, respecting yourself and understanding and celebrating the value you bring to your family and society. Empowerment is not a gift of society, it is a gift you give yourself.
